THE DCEIVERS

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

The DCEIVERS are a Washington, DC-based indie rock trio. With influences ranging from The Beatles to U2 to Led Zeppelin to Rush to Tom Petty to Antonio Vivaldi wait...what?!? It's not very easy to describe the sonics of this band, but they're damn fun to listen to! Those high-pedigree influences put an indelible mark on their music, both live and recorded - soaring McCartney-esque melodies, expansive guitar landscapes, thick vocal harmonies, grounded by a rhythm section that's both post-punk and classical. The sheer energy and virtuosity in The DCeivers live shows takes both the experience of seeing the band and listening to their music to a higher plane and is leaving audiences from all over the region awestruck while getting The DCeivers unique brand of indie pop/rock stuck in their heads.

Will Overman

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

The music of Will Overman is at once melodic as it is relentless, as refreshingly unique as it is familiar and evocative.

Overman’s music is rooted deeply in the South yet transcends genres and convention, blending essential elements of rock, blues, country toward a collective swell reminiscent of the Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Marshall Tucker.

A Virginia native, Overman -- who made it through two levels of NBC’s “The Voice” -- pairs sleek vocals with haunting rhythm and introspective melody.  He takes on love, life and loss. All with an edge driven deep in reality.

Whether performing solo or with a full band, Overman is a young Bruce Springsteen, (think “Nebraska”). He’s a folksinger and a rocker (think “Born to Run”), fronting a talented group of musicians swinging from flawless riffs to intoxicating beats.

Overman is quickly building a reputation as a fan favorite at music festivals including MerleFest, Rooster Walk Music and Arts Festival, Front Porch Fest and Appaloosa Roots Music Festival. He’s slated to play at the 2017 Lynchstock and is a finalist in the “Rockn to Lockn” contest. And he recently submitted this to NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert.

The 19th street band

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Caolaidhe came to America from Holywood, Northern Ireland in 2005 to pursue a career in music. While establishing an earlier band, he found himself in need of a fiddle player. As fate would have it, Meghan (a classical violinist) was working at an Irish pub in DC as a server while teaching music at a nearby public school. Through Caolaidhe’s acquaintances, he was lucky enough to meet Meghan and quickly auditioned her for the band. What Caolaidhe didn’t know was that he was auditioning his future wife. Fast-forward a few months down the road, and Meghan and Caolaidhe found themselves living on ’19th Street’ in Arlington, VA, writing songs and creating the sound that would become the backbone of The 19th Street Band.

With a chemistry and stage presence similar to Johnny & June, they tend to captivate audiences just by being themselves. Having fun and keeping it real. Making sweet, simple rock and roll. The two combine their instrumental talents with strong harmonies and high energy, bringing genuine joy to the show and instantly connecting to every audience.

Caolaidhe & Meghan have been honored to play with some super-talented musicians in the area. You can find them performing regularly with Brian White on bass, Patty Dougherty on drums, and Tom Verratti on banjo.

The 19th Street Band has had the honor of sharing the stage with country music stars such as Rodney Atkins, Craig Morgan, and Chuck Mead. They have opened for The Wheeler Brothers and Spirit Family Reunion at The Hamilton as well as Grammy Award-winning Western Swing icons, Asleep at the Wheel, at The Birchmere. They have also packed the house at such venues as the 9:30 Club, Black Cat, Strathmore, Jammin’ Java, Rock & Roll Hotel, Kingman Island Bluegrass Festival, The Washington Folk Festival, Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge in Nashville, The Black Box in Belfast, and Hill Country BBQ and Pianos in NYC. Check out their new original album, The Things That Matter, released in March 2017.
